violue | Uh oh, she's complaining again...

Jury Duty!! JURY DUTY!?
THIS is what I get for registering to vote, god damnit.

Okay. So setting aside the civic duty part, my jury duty is set for the wednesday after president's day. I have two Monday/Wednesday classes, so it's arguable that there will be much to do, as I won't have had class on monday.

So what do I do? I mean, do I just go? and miss class? Do I write the good people of Lane County with my lame "that day isn't good for me..." problem? Maybe I could ask them to uh... give me a Friday? Don't have any classes on fridays... o-o; got the whole day to be uh... civic.

Can they do that? Can they just give me a specific day?

"Dear sir or ma'am, I'm sorry, I have a classes that day that I would like to not miss unless seriously unavoidable (i.e; illness/accident/freak blizzard) and would like to respectfully request that my jury duty be considered more convinient if it were place on a "friday" before March 19th, 2004. After that, my precarious scheduele changes, as I am a student.

Thank you for your consideration."

...Well I'll think about it today... I mean there's a chance I wont even be summoned, but oO; ...if I am...what's the likliehood that I'll get there at 8:30 am as requested, and magically be out in time to catch the 11:30 bus out to my 12pm class?
