(no subject)

We are alotted a five minute break in the class I'm in right now. The instructor said that during the middle of the class, we should look for a natural break in the lecture to take the break.

When the instructor paused during his lecture, a woman raised her hand to ask for a break, but the instructor did not see her, and began talking again, so she lowered her hand. A few minutes later, the woman rose her hand again, but she was not looking up, so she could not see that the instructor was looking in a different direction. When he began talking again, she sighed loudly, lowered her hand, and began to complain to the person next to her. At last when the instructor turned her way, (but was just starting a new topic) the woman's hand shot up immediately and she dryly asked for her break. He let us go.

Can anyone understand why this made me very annoyed??
