In a purely logic driven response based on understanding of christian religions: If god didn't want people to drink then Christ wouldn't have had wine miracles and wine at the last supper as sacirment. Otherwise, I think back to when Castiel was human and was drinking heavily. If a fallen angel can enjoy alcohol, why can't humans.

I actually just assumed it was some gesture of affection, pouring him another drink, but it did seem weird considering that it's a toxic substance.

And to Violue, glad I made the cut of somewhat recognizable livejournal characters. maybe we sshould share perceptions of reality more often. I'm sure we could have good in depth conversation if we try.
